Edna L. Hinson, was born in Beloit, Al, grew up in Bessemer, Al. A product of Bessemer City Schools System. A 1971 graduate of J.S. Abrams High School. Graduated in top 10.

    Married to William J. Hinson, Sr. for 46 years until his death. 2 children, William Jr. and Alisha. 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

   Graduated from Bessemer State Technical College as a Practical Nurse, Licensed by the State of Alabama. Retired in 2002, from UAB Hospital after 25 years of service. Worked at Kirklin Clinic for 11 years.

    Graduated Magna Cum Laude, 2008, with a BA Degree in Christian Education from The Birmingham Easion Baptist Bible College. Currently a Master’s Degree Student at The Birmingham Theological Seminary.

    Serves as Superintendent of the Church School at The Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Also serves as Director of the Women’s Ministry, and Instructor of the Women’s Bible Class under the leadership of Dr. Emanuel L. Foster.

    Instructor in the Alabama Baptist Congress of Christian Education, also COPP Consultant.

    Presently serving as Dean, of The Jefferson County Congress of Christian Education.
